PACKAGING PERFORMANCE AND SEAL INTEGRITY

Seal defects are usually a system problem—not only a temperature problem.

Product contamination, film properties, jaw condition, pressure, dwell time, temperature distribution, tension, tracking and machine timing interact. FFT Services evaluates the complete packaging window to identify root causes and establish stable operating conditions.

Support covers recurring leaks, open seals, wrinkles, burn-through, poor peel, film misalignment, weight variation, slow cycles, changeover loss and excessive packaging waste.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Before starting the assessment

Can you diagnose intermittent seal leakage?

Yes. Intermittent defects require correlation of samples with film position, product contamination, temperature zones, pressure, timing and machine cycles.

Do you test packaging film?

Relevant supplier data and factory tests can be reviewed. Specialised laboratory testing may be recommended through an appropriate external laboratory when required.

Can improvement include new sealing jaws or change parts?

Yes. Repair, redesign, alternative materials, new tools or equipment modification can be evaluated after the cause is established.
